11 problems with linux

Though i m a diehard fan of linux, there are lot of things which bother me...........how much do we pay for our freedom.................
Let me ask u a question---What do u want more?freedom or ease?
Lets discuss some problems with linux................m running debian.........maybe the case is different with ubuntu, fedora or suse...................

1. When a kernel update, some packages refuse to work like virtualbox virtual machines.
2. When root partition(or home partition) is full, some programs refuse to start and give warnings like kdeinit failed to start..................does not tell the user y is it happening and what is the cure.....
3. Office packages are not mature enough like ms office.........they don't have professionals working for them (though they have the worlds best programmers) who can tell them their needs and how to fulfill them.
4. Though the whole system is very stable.........some programs crashes too often like iceweasel (firefox).
   
5. Pen drive compatibility issues.........especially the Chinese ones..........
6. There are all sorts of programs available(u will probably find a hundred) but how to search for them and figure out which is the best one.
7. Many a times u will not find needed functionality in one package............
8. Beryl, compiz, kde4 etc. have good desktop effects but only to show that free software can do everything that a propriety software can do. U cannot use them in day to day life...........they don't work elegantly and smoothly like mac or are useless..........
9. I have never figured it out y some settings change out of the blue (sometime u may like the change also)
10. As new versions of os are released every 6 or 12 months.........they require current hardware..............they work very slow if running on 2-3 years old computer................well thats not the case with debian.
11. Wine can surely run many window's programs, but it still can't run many other.

Back to the question i asked............What do u want more?freedom or ease?
MS know one thing very well..........most of the people on this earth are slaves.............they don't want freedom..........they want ease.............they don't care whether u r forcing anything on them or not...............they will lean what u want them to if it is not that difficult...........whatever...............y am i so concern.....................i love my freedom...................i love open source.............
